Privacy Policy

1. Information you choose to provide

Well-Bearing may store information that you enter into the app in order to provide its features. Depending on how you use Well-Bearing, this may include information such as:

• Life Domains, Goals, Projects, and Tasks
• Identity Statements
• Momentum Items and completion history
• Behavior Change data
• Bearing Checks, reflections, and related entries
• Medication information you choose to enter
• Health measurements or other information you manually enter
• App preferences and settings
• Generated-report source data used to create summaries you request

You choose which Well-Bearing features to use and what information to enter into them.

2. Local-first design

Platform services may still process information when needed to provide functionality you choose to use — for example operating-system notifications, device storage or backup, Apple Health / Health Connect, Screen Time-related services, Usage Access, App Store or Google Play subscription services, and similar platform infrastructure. This Privacy Policy describes current shipping behavior and does not claim that no external platform processing ever occurs.

3. Apple Health

Depending on the features you choose to use and the permissions you grant, this may include information such as workouts, steps, sleep, body weight, blood pressure, and mindfulness-related data where supported.

Apple Health permissions are controlled by you through iOS. Well-Bearing can only access the categories of Apple Health information for which you grant permission. Well-Bearing does not receive all Apple Health information — only categories you authorize for enabled functionality.

Well-Bearing uses health and fitness information to provide user-requested app functionality, such as displaying relevant information, recording permitted measurements, and supporting completion or progress features.

Well-Bearing does not use Apple Health data for advertising or tracking, and does not sell Apple Health data.

4. Android Health Connect

Current shipping Android read categories may include:

• Steps
• Exercise / workouts
• Sleep
• Weight
• Blood pressure
• Mindfulness

Current shipping Android write categories include manually entered Weight and manually entered Blood Pressure when you choose to save those measurements.

Permissions can be reviewed or revoked through Android. Well-Bearing requests only permissions needed for enabled functionality and does not claim to receive all Health Connect information. Health Connect data is used to provide Well-Bearing health and wellness functionality. It is not used for advertising or tracking.

5. Screen Time and Digital Well-Being

Apple: Where available, Well-Bearing may use Apple Screen Time / Family Controls-related functionality to support Digital Well-Being Momentum Items you configure. Those capabilities are provided through Apple platform services and remain subject to Apple’s settings and permissions.

Android: Android users may optionally grant Usage Access for supported Digital Well-Being features. When granted through Android system settings, Well-Bearing may use device/app usage information to:

• Measure supported screen-time / app-usage behavior
• Evaluate configured Digital Well-Being Momentum Items
• Provide related completion or status information

Usage Access is optional and may be revoked. Usage information is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. Android capabilities differ from Apple Screen Time capabilities. Well-Bearing does not imply that it reads Google’s private Digital Wellbeing dashboard database.

6. Local notifications

If you enable reminders, Well-Bearing may schedule local notifications through the operating system (for example medication reminders, task reminders, or other user-requested reminders). Notification permission is optional where the platform requires it.

7. Medication information

Medication information you enter is treated as sensitive personal information. Current shipping medication reminder notifications are designed not to expose drug names or doses on external notification surfaces; those details remain inside the app.

Medication details are not shared with Accountability Partners. Therapy Planning reports exclude medication details under current shipping behavior. Health Provider reports may include medications only when you explicitly choose to include them.

8. Subscriptions and billing

Subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Well-Bearing may receive product, purchase, or entitlement information needed to determine trial and subscription access and to restore paid access. Well-Bearing does not receive your complete payment-card details from marketplace purchases and does not itself process marketplace credit-card transactions.

9. How information is used

Information available to Well-Bearing may be used to operate and improve the features you choose to use, including to:

• Display your goals, priorities, progress and history
• Determine the information presented within the app
• Support reminders, widgets and other requested app functionality
• Generate summaries and reports requested by you
• Maintain your preferences and app configuration
• Determine trial or subscription access
• Diagnose technical problems and maintain app reliability

10. Advertising, tracking, and sale of personal information

Well-Bearing does not sell your personal information.

Under current shipping architecture, Well-Bearing does not include an advertising SDK or a cross-app tracking SDK, does not use your personal information or health information for third-party advertising, and does not engage in cross-app tracking for advertising purposes.

11. Data sharing and Accountability Partners

Well-Bearing does not share your personal or health information with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.

Information may be processed by Apple or Google platform services when necessary to provide functionality you choose to use, such as Apple Health, Health Connect, notifications, widgets, device storage, backup, Screen Time-related services, Usage Access, App Store or Google Play subscription services, or other operating-system services, subject to those platforms’ applicable settings and policies.

Where Accountability Partner sharing is available, only explicitly approved sharing applies. Current shipping behavior does not include sharing HealthKit / Health Connect values, medication names or doses, Identity Statements, Weekly Bearing, Course Corrections, Behavior Change content, or private journal / reflection content with Accountability Partners. Partners see only completion-status style information for commitments you explicitly choose to share.

12. Storage and security

Well-Bearing is designed to use the security and privacy protections provided by iOS, Android, and related platform technologies. Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information handled by the app.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Your choices and control

Well-Bearing is designed around user choice. You may choose which features to use, what information to enter, and whether to grant optional permissions.

Apple Health permissions can be reviewed or changed through the appropriate iOS privacy and Health settings. Health Connect and Usage Access permissions can be reviewed or changed through the appropriate Android settings. Subscription management and cancellation are handled through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

14. Account deletion

You can delete your Well-Bearing account in the app via Me → Account → Delete Account.

If you cannot access the app, you may request deletion through the account deletion page or by emailing wellbearingapp@gmail.com. Identity verification may be required.

When deletion completes, Well-Bearing deletes your Well-Bearing account and Well-Bearing-controlled account and cloud data associated with your account (when present). Well-Bearing does not retain account profile data after deletion completes.

Apple Health data, Health Connect data, and App Store / Google Play purchase history and subscription records are outside Well-Bearing’s deletion authority and are not deleted by Well-Bearing. Deleting your account does not cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions.

15. Children

Well-Bearing is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

16. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as Well-Bearing evolves. When material changes are made, the updated policy will be posted here and the effective date will be revised.
